It makes it out to sound like Fujigen couldn't cope with demand anymore and had to hand over some control to Fender. It has some good points, but makes some sweeping and innacurate comments too. If I can dig up my info, I'll post it here (that headstock looks to be legit) It looks to have been designed around the 1980 / 81 US 'STRAT' model (or the 'LEAD' models), and it also looks to have Gotoh Kluson tuners, instead of the normal Greco stamped versions? I have a photo of it, but do you think I can find it now!? Someone I know here owns one.maybe Wayne D? (or someone else on the JV forum perhaps?. I have seen that Greco model before (gold parts).

The Fujigen Matsomoku plant also made some Greco guitars (Gneco at first I think?), but were not to my knowledge actively involved in the full on JV production It is possible however that some parts were manufactured there.I don't know?
